Why Bet on Horses?

By: SimonSkinnerArticles

No matter what you are betting on you are taking the chance to lose. In poker a game of strategy and luck, roulette you just never know, and then there are sports, bases on real human competition or in this case horses. When basing a wager against a machine you really have no true strategy, but with horses, you can base every bet on handicaps, weather and track conditions, and most importantly the horses’ history to win. The important points are why you bet on horses, a better and more profitable shot to beat the odds.

For every serious gambler there of course is research, stats, circumstance involved, you wouldn’t bet on the #9 seed against #1 Texas in a college football game if you knew Texas was playing at home and hadn’t lost in the last ten years to the #9 team. With horse racing, you want to do the same research, check the weather for that day, the track conditions, the favorite to win, etc. Betting on horses is an art form, an exciting sport that can be hugely profitable for any serious wager.

So, how do you know which horse to bet on? You can buy books and figure out the math yourself, or you can go to the expert handicappers and get their take. However, you place your bet and on what horse can be determined and backed by a number of sources. Horse betting is one of the most exciting and promising gambles you can make, 9 times out of 10 if you get the inside information you will win, nothing more attractive than that.

Remember that with any gamble, you run the chance to lose, but with the horses, it is a chance worth taking. Do your due diligence and prepare for each race to secure the most favorable outcome, like with anything in life you want to make sure you have an ace in the hole. Upsets will occur, but with proper preparation, you can and will come out a winner on most occasions.

Imagine going to the track after all of your research, getting handicappers advice and returning home with wads of cash to the wife and kids. The track is a great experience filled with exhilaration and excitement. You go in knowing exactly who the favorite to win is and have a number of options to bet, whether you are picking to win or going for gold with a champions’ outlook, one, two, and three. You will leave if properly done in the profit margin and ready for the next time. Sit down
before each weeks race and do the calculations, you will come out on top.

That is what makes horse racing one of the premier sports and a bettor's paradise, you are betting on an animal trained to do nothing more than win, what else could be better.
